Privacy Policy

The Review Request form collects a name, email address, game title, platform, your score for the game, a reason for requesting coverage, and an optional message. RQR uses this information to receive, evaluate, organize, and manage requests; prevent spam or abuse; and communicate with a submitter when appropriate.

Submitting a request does not guarantee coverage, a response, or a publication date. General visitors do not need to create an account to read the site or submit a review request.

If you contact RQR directly by email, the message may include your email address, name, message, attachments, and any other information you choose to send.

Vercel and Supabase provide the site's active hosting and infrastructure. In the ordinary operation of those services, they may process technical information such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages or assets, timestamps, referring pages, request headers, and general server or diagnostic logs.

The RQR application does not add an IP address, browser profile, or referrer to the Review Request database record. It also does not intentionally place a submitter's name, email, reason, or message in page URLs, public metadata, or analytics events.

RQR uses or may use Google AdSense to display third-party ads on public content pages. Google ads may be activated, paused, unavailable, or shown only on certain pages or to certain visitors at any given time, so the absence of an ad during one visit does not mean advertising is disabled. Advertising revenue helps pay for hosting, operations, and the continued production of independent Rage Quit Reviews content.

When advertising services are active, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to RQR or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized ads based on visits to this site and other sites, subject to the visitor's settings, consent choices, and applicable law. Contextual, non-personalized, or limited ads may also be served where appropriate.

Ad delivery, personalization, measurement, frequency control, security, and invalid-traffic detection may involve the collection, sharing, or use of IP addresses, cookie or device identifiers, browser and device information, approximate location, requested page and referrer information, ad impressions, and ad interactions. Technologies may include cookies, local storage, pixels or web beacons, and similar identifiers.

Information may be used to:

• Operate and maintain Rage Quit Reviews.
• Process, evaluate, and manage review requests.
• Communicate with visitors or submitters when appropriate.
• Maintain security and prevent spam, abuse, or fraudulent activity.
• Diagnose technical issues and understand site performance.
• Improve the site and editorial experience.
• When advertising services are active, deliver and measure ads, control ad frequency, personalize ads where permitted and consented, and detect invalid or fraudulent ad activity.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes.

RQR relies on, or may use, the following providers:

• Vercel hosts and delivers the website, runs server-side application code, and maintains operational and security logs.
• Supabase provides the PostgreSQL database used for reviews and Review Requests, authentication for authorized administrators, and storage and delivery for review cover images.
• Google / Gmail provides the mailbox used when someone emails the public RQR contact address directly.
• Google AdSense and participating ad technology partners may select, deliver, personalize, limit, secure, and measure ads when advertising services are active.

These providers may process information as needed to perform their services and under their own terms and privacy practices. Because advertising partners can change, the consent message shown to an eligible visitor will identify the partners selected for that visitor. Google also maintains information about its ad technology partners.

RQR does not currently load Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, social-media pixels, or another dedicated general visitor analytics platform.

When AdSense advertising services are active, Google and participating advertising partners may measure ad delivery, impressions, interactions, performance, and invalid traffic as described above. The absence of a separate general analytics product does not prevent that advertising measurement or the ordinary hosting and security logs maintained by Vercel and Supabase.

Outside of advertising and consent services, ordinary public reading and Review Request submission do not use non-essential advertising or analytics cookies. RQR does not use localStorage or sessionStorage for its own public visitor tracking or preferences.

When advertising or consent services are active, Google and other participating vendors may place or read cookies and use local storage, pixels, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers for the purposes described in this policy. Non-personalized or limited advertising may still use certain storage or identifiers for functions such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security, and invalid-traffic prevention.

Supabase authentication uses essential cookies when an authorized administrator signs in or uses an account-recovery flow. Those cookies maintain and protect the admin session; they are not used to build advertising profiles of public visitors. Most visitors will never use the admin authentication system.

When serving personalized ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, RQR uses a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The message provides information about advertising purposes and selected partners, requests choices where required, and provides a way to change or withdraw those choices.

For visitors covered by applicable U.S. state privacy laws, RQR intends to provide an advertising privacy message and an opt-out mechanism for sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where those legal terms and rights apply. Available controls and their wording may vary by location.

Visitors can review or change Google ad-personalization choices through Google's My Ad Center. They can also use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool for participating companies. These controls are generally browser- or device-specific, may depend on cookies remaining available, and do not block all advertising.

Eligible visitors can also use the privacy or cookie-settings control supplied with RQR's consent message when that control is available. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites and Google's business data practices.

RQR does not directly sell visitors' personal information for money. When advertising services are active, advertising identifiers and activity may be disclosed to or processed by Google and participating advertising partners. Some privacy laws may define particular advertising disclosures as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising even when no money is paid for the information; applicable visitors can use the controls described above.

Information may also be processed by the infrastructure providers described above where necessary to operate the site, or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, protect the site or its users, investigate abuse, or enforce site terms. RQR does not claim that information is never shared; operating an online publication necessarily involves service providers and network infrastructure.

RQR has not promised a fixed automatic deletion period for Review Requests. Information may be retained for the purposes described in this policy, operational and security needs, resolving disputes, maintaining records, and applicable legal obligations. Hosting logs, backups, and provider-controlled records may follow each provider's retention schedule.

Advertising and consent providers control their own records and retention practices. Consent choices may be retained as needed to remember and demonstrate a visitor's selection. Review the linked provider information for details about provider-controlled data.

Depending on the law that applies to you and the circumstances, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, objection to certain use of, or a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. These rights are not identical in every jurisdiction and may be subject to lawful exceptions.

Rage Quit Reviews is a general-audience gaming publication and is not specifically directed toward children under 13. RQR does not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through its submission forms. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information, contact RQR so the situation can be reviewed.

RQR uses authenticated admin access, database access controls, input validation, HTTPS, and browser security headers to help protect the site and submitted information. No online service, storage system, or transmission method is perfectly secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Reviews and articles may link to publishers, developers, retailers, game platforms, social networks, or other external websites. RQR does not control those third parties or their privacy practices. Review the third party's own terms and privacy information before providing information to it.

This policy may be updated when the site, providers, or relevant practices change. The effective and last-updated date at the top of this page will be revised when a material update is published.
